Are You Ready for Radiothon?
It's that time of year again, and we're not talking about Christmas. (Well, maybe a little bit.) The WIBC Radiothon for The Salvation Army Bed & Bread Club is just days away.
For the 18th consecutive year, The Salvation Army will team up with 93.1 WIBC for a three-day, on-air fundraising campaign benefiting local programs and services for those in need. To date, corporate partners and WIBC listeners have helped raise more than $1,668,000 and in 2012, The Salvation Army hopes to raise hundreds of thousands more.
This year the focus will be on the Bed & Bread Club. The Salvation Army’s Bed & Bread Club is made up of people like you who have decided to take the matter of hunger and homelessness in their community into their own hands. That’s why there are more than 100 Bed & Bread Clubs located all over the country — all with the same mission: to provide food and shelter to the hungry and homeless.
By pledging as little as $10 per month — or $120 per year — you can help The Salvation Army provide food, shelter and other necessities so struggling individuals can get back on their feet.
It is our goal to have at least 1,000 Bed & Bread Club members by the end of Radiothon on Sunday.
Are you ready? Tune in, listen and make a pledge. It all starts Friday morning.
