Make a Monetary Donation…
Choose an hour to challenge others to make donations to The Salvation Army Bed & Bread Club. Come to the broadcast, present your check, and let the listeners know how your company is doing the most good. Hourly sponsors receive live mentions on the air and a 90-second to two minute interview (may be live or pre-recorded depending on the show), as well as social media promotion and a feature on wibc.com/radiothon.
Provide a prize…
Prizes are not only an incentive to listeners but a thank you to those that donate. The bigger the prize, the more people call in to make a pledge or donate a one-time gift! Prize value must be $100 or more. Prizes have unlimited mentions and are promoted through social media and wibc.com/radiothon.
Radiothon kicks off December 6, 2013, at 6am with Indy’s Morning News. For the next 36 hours, WIBC listeners are encouraged to make a change in their community by donating through The Salvation Army. During regularly scheduled programming, on-air personalities share interviews from Salvation Army heroes, feature corporate partners making a difference in Indianapolis, and update listeners on the number of meals and nights of shelter The Salvation Army is able to provide because of their generosity. Salvation Army volunteers work the phones around the clock until 6pm on Saturday, December 7, 2013, accepting pledges and personally thanking each donor.
To become a sponsor of Radiothon, please contact Mel McMahon Stone, Director of Major Gifts, The Salvation Army Indiana Division, (317) 224-1019 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
