The First Day Show with Amber Stearns is a relaxed, Sunday-morning look at top stories in the news, weekend events and interviews with interesting Hoosiers.

Before coming to WIBC a couple years ago, Amber worked in Kokomo, where she served as News Director/Asst. Program Director at WIOU-AM/WZWZ-FM for over a decade. She has also worked at WBAT-AM/WCJC-FM in Marion.

She was a Marconi Award Finalist for "Small Market Personality of the Year" in 2002 with WZWZ co-host Allan James, and has earned many other awards during her career, including 2007 Best Breaking News Coverage in radio by the IBA. Amber is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, and the 2nd vice-president of the Indiana Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists

She is a graduate of North Central High School and has a B.S. in Electronic Media from the University of Indianapolis. Amber is very active with her alma mater, serving on the University of Indianapolis Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Amber resides with her son on the northside of Indianapolis.

DWTS Results Show 11-3-09

Two things stood out about last night's results show. The voting viewers got serious. And,Aaron Carter showed what it meant to dance for his DWTS life.

It also proved that the real story was not in who was automatically voted on, but it was about the two men who danced their hearts out to stay on for next week.

The viewers really got it right when they put NFL Dallas Cowboys star Michael Irvin and Iron chef Mark Dacascos in the bottom three. Both were in the bottom at the end of Monday night's scoring. And, of the remaining celebrities, they showed the least promise to be able to move on.

Michael did receive his highest individual scoring the night before. He worked hard for it. It was just that it was too late, not flashy enough, and still left him behind the advancement of the others from the previous ...
