WIBC: The News and Talk of Indianapolis

First Day with John Strauss

The First Day Show with John Strauss is a relaxed, Sunday-morning look at top stories in the news, weekend events and interviews with interesting Hoosiers.

Strauss, a former AP correspondent, television newsman and newspaper columnist now with The Indianapolis Star, hosts the show each Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon.

To contact John with comments or suggests, e-mail John Strauss or call (317)684-8732.

John is a Notre Dame grad with two teen-age daughters, a Humane Society dog named Zeke and an old Camaro. He likes to cook and specializes in inventing new recipes for his family - who, in turn, say they prefer heading out to Steak n Shake. John's wife Martha does her best to understand.

In addition to being a reporter and editor for the Star, John also has written and presented nationally on the subject of online multimedia and mobile journalism. He previously was a columnist, City Hall reporter and senior writer for the newspaper, and before that worked for The Associated Press as a correspondent, editor and manager in New York City, Tennessee, Indiana and Kentucky.

John Strauss combines great guests, interesting interviews and chats with everyday people on Monument Circle for the First Day show, Sunday mornings on 93 WIBC.
