Ed Wenck is 47 but doesn't look a day over 46. He's married (Amy - 23 years now) with one 17-year-old son (Oliver) who plays hockey for the Junior Ice and just graduated from North Central.
Ed was a touring stand-up comic from 1987-1992 and opened for Drew Carey, Ray Romano, Dennis Miller, and The Ramones (ask him about THAT one sometime.)
The Wencks adopted Indiana in 1996; the Hoosier State has yet to throw them out.
He's written two books:
'The Hockey Dad Chronicles' and
'Warning: Don't Try This at Home'.
He's avid about his guitars, his mountain bike and his microbrews.
The Wencks have two dogs: Chessie is a lab mix and Dingo is pit bull, chow, and Gremlin. Rounding out the house is Patterson, a cockatiel whose shriek can wake the neighborhood.
