And the Candidates Are...

Both the Democratic and Republican candidates for Indianapolis Mayor will face primary challenges this Spring, as well as several members of the Indianapolis City-County Council.

Both Joe Hogsett and Jim Merritt will each have opponents in the May Primary.  Hosgett will face Denise Paul Hatch who ran for Center Township Constable against Tony Duncan in the primary back in 2016.   Meanwhile, Merritt is being challenged by civil rights activist Philipe Rios and construction worker Christopher Moore.

Meanwhile at the Council level, incumbents  Zach Adamson, Monroe Gray, Duke Oliver, and Lakeshia Jackson will all have primary opponents, despite sucessful efforts by County party officials to keep several challengers off the ballot.
