Congressional Cash

If you're looking for the financial frontrunner in the Republican race for the U.S. Senate here in Indiana, forget about it, for now.

Republican Congressmen Luke Messer and Todd Rokita are virtually tied when it comes to cash on hand, even though Messer had a much stronger fundraising quarter.

And State Representative and Southern Indiana businessman Mike Braun outraised them both, however, he self-funded to the tune of $800,000.

Despite all of that incumbent Democrat Joe Donnelly outraised all his Republican counterparts and has nearly twice as much cash on hand as Rokita and Messer combined.

The results are below...

Congressman Todd Rokita (CD-4)

  • $450,000 raised.
  • $2.4 million in cash on hand.

Congressman Luke Messer (CD-6)

  • $735,000 raised.
  • $2.4 million in cash on hand

State Representative  Mike Braun

  • $1 million raised
  • $1 million in cash on hand

U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly

  • $1.3 million raised.
  • $4.6 million in cash on hand
