New Poll Gives Donnelly Small Lead

A poll taken during the height of the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings gives incumbent Democrat U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly a small lead over Republican challenger Mike Braun.

A Reuters/Ipsos/UVA Center for Politics Poll gave Donnelly a 46-43 lead over Braun.  Three percent chose other and eight percent chose none.

The poll of nearly 1,200 likely voters had a margin of error of three percent.

It was conducted between September 15-20.

Similar polls have also shown the race statistically tied.
