Softball questions and long-winded answers turned to flailing arms Monday as White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki swatted away a fly that had perched atop her head.

Taking a cue from President Joe Biden, the fly of unknown origin was allegedly attempting to sniff Ms. Psaki’s semi-luxurious red hair when the incident occurred.

PETA has filed a lawsuit on the fly’s behalf seeking damages in the high six-figures for attempted assault and emotional distress.

The animal rights organization also criticized Psaki’s divisive rhetoric, citing the Press Secretary’s ‘racist’ comment that “at least [the fly] wasn’t a cicada.”

Please note that the above blog post is partially untrue. Psaki did, in fact, swat a fly, but PETA did not file charges against the Press Secretary… Yet.
