Alert: Liberal Lovers Quarrel!
Failing 2020 Democratic candidate Joe Biden ripped former President Barack Obama during an interview with NPR “Morning Edition” host Rachel Martin while the former VP campaigned in Iowa this week.
The interview began innocently enough. But Biden, who has shown an increased propensity for emotional outbursts of late, began to unravel as he addressed a question about political tone in Washington.
“You don’t think Donald Trump has fundamentally changed how the parties talk to each other and whether or not you can cooperate?” host Rachel Martin asked.
“Donald Trump is the reason why you need someone who knows what they’re doing. Donald Trump,” Biden said. “Name me somebody who’s going to be able to stand on the world stage and immediately command the respect of everyone in the world. Our enemies as well as our adversaries — as well as our allies. I know all these people. This is the only reason why I’m running this time is because of my experience.”
“Well,” Martin said, “Barack Obama was able to do it, and he didn’t have very much experience at all.”
Editor's Note: And here's where Biden gets triggered...
“No, that’s not true. Think about it. That’s not true. What happened was one of the reasons Barack Obama picked me as vice president is because he lacked the background in foreign policy — he’s a brilliant guy. He knew what he wanted to do. He knew how to get it done. But notice, every time we had a problem on Capitol Hill, who went up and got it fixed? Answer the question. Who went up and got it fixed? See you’re not, you know the truth,” Biden snorted.

Watch Joe Biden attack Barack Obama's foreign policy credentials.
Perhaps Biden is bristling at rumors that Obama has been talking smack behind his back to other 2020 democratic candidates. Last month, the Washington Examiner reported that Former President Obama told an unnamed presidential hopeful that Biden doesn't have what it takes to win the Oval Office.
From The Washington Examiner:
Obama, 58, has remained relatively quiet during the first part of the Democratic primary; however, he has met with many of the candidates privately. In one particular meeting, the former president took a dig at his own vice president, according to Politico.
"With one candidate, he pointed out that during his own 2008 campaign, he had an intimate bond with the electorate, especially in Iowa, that he no longer has. Then he added, 'And you know who really doesn’t have it? Joe Biden,'" Ryan Lizza reported.
The former president's dig stands in stark contrast to the relationship Biden has depicted during his campaign. Biden, who has repeatedly stated that he doesn't want Obama's endorsement because whoever wins the primary "should win it on their own merits,” has frequently referenced his time working within the Obama White House.
