Add Carly Fiorina’s name to the list of people suffering from post-2016 election TDS. The former Republican Presidential candidate said in an interview with week with CNN that President Trump should be impeached, but stopped short of calling for his removal from office.

“I think it is vital that he be impeached,” Fiorina told CNN host Poppy Harlow. “Whether removed this close to an election, I don’t know, but I think the conduct is impeachable.  And what I regret is that the principles that are being debated in this impeachment trial – separation of powers, abuse of power, obstruction of Congress – those principles are not as immediate or intense as partisanship or people’s belief that the policies that I care about impact me personally.”

She later added: “In this country, we don’t pledge allegiance to a party or to a president.  In this country, principles matter, and in particular the principle that we have co-equal branches of government and that no one is above the law, and that it is Congress’ duty to oversee and to investigate.”

Bizarrely, Fiorina said she would NOT rule out voting for President Trump in 2020.

“It depends who the Democrats put up,” she said.

Fiorina said that she did agree with the president on his strong economic policies, but said, “I do think that the systematic tearing down of people, institutions, political opponents, will have long-lasting damage if it goes on for much longer.
