PSA: Don't Steal a Plane to Go to a Rap Concert
The Chicks on the Right would like to issue the following PSA to American youth: While flying a commercial airliner without proper training appears to be easy and fun, one should not assume competence at the controls of said aircraft without proper training and experience - even if it means missing a concert for your favorite band.
Here's the background:
An 18-year-old 'man' in Arkansas was charged with attempting to steal a plane so he could fly it to a rap concert in Illinois last month.
Zemarcuis Devon Scott was discovered around 2:30 a.m. after airport security personnel contacted police about seeing a man jumping over the Texarkana Regional Airport fence.
When police officers arrived, they found Scott sitting in the cockpit of an American Eagle twin-engine jet, the Gazette reported.
Police questioned Scott’s lack of pilot training, to which the young man allegedly told authorities he did not believe there was much more to flying than pushing buttons and pulling levers.
Sounds like a very nice young man with a bright future ahead of him.
