A gay councilman in Texas has been ousted from office in the town of Groves after nude photos of him sent over Grindr were leaked to local officials and the media, prompting a recall election.
Cross Coburn, 19, served about one year of his two-year term, and his removal comes nine months after the photographs were sent out, along with a note asking, “Is this in any way proper behavior of a councilman to represent himself online or a ‘dating’ app?”
Coburn, for his part, said he felt he was being discriminated against, as the only gay member on city council.
