New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, woe to your lack of reasoning and common sense, dear friend.

New York is facing a $2.3 billion budget shortfall, and Governor Nimrod The Magnificent has determined the state’s funding gap is the result of an undue tax burden on the rich.

“Eureka!” you exclaim! “Nims The Mag has seen the light!”

Well, not exactly.

Governor Cuomo, a far-left liberal who clearly isn’t getting enough oxygen to the brain, blamed the tax law enacted by President Donald Trump and the Republican Congress for his state’s budget shortfall.

According to Cuomo, wealthy residents are leaving for second homes in Florida and other states that received more favorable treatment in the tax law.

“They are investors, they have accountants, they are making informed decisions,” Cuomo said. “This is going to be the tipping point and people will now be making a geographical change.”

“Awe, gee wiz, Wally. Does this mean Governor pinhead will finally make the connection and cut taxes in his state?” – Beaver Cleaver, fictional character of 1950s and 1960s television.

Yes, but also, no.

“Tax the rich, tax the rich, tax the rich — and then the rich leave. And then what do you do?” Cuomo asked. “It would be the absolute worst thing to do right now. At the same time, you don’t have the ability to reduce taxes on the rich because that would just expand the shortfall.”

There you have it: Liberal logic.
