Taylor Swift Whines About 'Tough Year' in Insufferable AMA Speech

Multi-platinum selling artist Taylor Swift took shots at her former label and complained about her "tough year" in an American Music Awards speech Sunday night.

Speaking after collecting the Artist of the Year award, Swift said: "I really don’t have anything articulate to say. Just the fact that the last year of my life has had some of the most amazing times, and also some of just the hardest things I’ve gone through in my life and not a lot of them are things that haven’t been public."

Taylor recently took to social media to publicly accuse her former label manager of "exercising tyrannical control" over her music.

"This album really felt like a new beginning and I also really love my record label, Universal and Republic," Swift continued.

"Thank you for being so generous to me and allowing me to make whatever music I want to make. As a songwriter, it's so thrilling to me that I get to keep doing that."

WIBC host Rob Kendall, ever the cynic, doesn't have much sympathy for multi-millionaire Swift. Hammer and Nigel joined him for discussion on Monday's edition of Speedround.
