Once again, Charles Manson follower Leslie Van Houten has been recommended for parole by the California Board of Parole Hearings. Once again, Governor Gavin Newsom is going to override that recommendation and keep Van Houten in prison. And once again, the mainstream media is milking the now-annual event for all it’s worth.

This is now the fourth time the board has determined that Van Houten suitable to be set free. Her three previous approvals for release were blocked twice by former Gov. Jerry Brown and once by Newsom.

Keep in mind, Brown and Newsom are the same California politicians who set multiple felons free in their state due to prison overcrowding and fears over COVID-19. Can’t have claustrophobic criminals catching germs.

Van Houten’s attorney, Rich Pfeiffer, told CNN  that the 70-year-old convicted murderer “was very nervous going into the hearing, but she responded very well to all the questions,” adding that “she and her friends and family remain hopeful that she will be released. We all think we are getting closer and closer to release.”

Don’t bet on it. Last week’s hearing was Van Houten’s 23rd since she became eligible for parole in 1977 – a mere eight years after the horrific murders took place. Van Houten, however, was convicted of the 1969 stabbing deaths of Leno and Rosemary LaBianca. She was convicted and sentenced to death in 1971, but one year later the death penalty was overturned.

It’s not going to happen, America. Calm down, drink yourself a refreshing beverage of mainstream media truth serum, and get back to fighting over face masks.

Any truth to the rumor that Time-Life is considering releasing the entire Manson Family Parole Hearings collection on limited-edition 4K discs?
