Trump’s Anger with “60 Minutes” Journalist Leslie Stahl is Fully Justified

President Donald Trump kind of has a thing about biased journalists at left-wing media outlets: he hates them.

Trump might even have a secret list hidden in the Resolute Desk of all the news channels and journalists he hates the most! And if so, Leslie Stahl and  “60 Minutes” just shot to position number one like a bullet.

Tuesday night, President Trump threatened to release an interview he granted “60 Minutes” correspondent Lesley Stahl ahead of it’s scheduled Sunday airing, implying he would expose how “fake and biased” the sitdown was.

“I am pleased to inform you that, for the sake of accuracy in reporting, I am considering posting my interview with Lesley Stahl of 60 Minutes, PRIOR TO AIRTIME!” Trump posted on Twitter. “This will be done so that everybody can get a glimpse of what a FAKE and BIASED interview is all about.”

Moments earlier, Trump tweeted this beauty.

White House Assistant Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shared the President’s tweet of a maskless Stahl, accusing the CBS journalist of hypocrisy.

“This is moments after she criticized me for not wearing a mask while working at my desk,” Leavitt tweeted. “Rules for thee but not for me, Lesley?”

So what happened? Amazingly, Fox News and CNN are on the same page about what went down between Trump and Stahl.

Sources told Fox News that “Stahl was extremely hostile” and “unleashed in a way she would never do to Joe Biden.”

As a result, Trump became increasingly angry at Stahl’s line of questioning and cut the interview short. He also canceled a previously-scheduled joint interview with Vice President Pence.

According to CNN’s Kaitlan Collins and Khalil Abdallah, “Trump walked out of the interview because he was frustrated with Stahl’s line of questioning.”

Another source told CNN that “the bulk of the interview was focused on coronavirus.”

If indeed Stahl’s entire agenda going into the interview was to leverage the sitdown as an opportunity to create one long attack ad on Coronavirus, Trump’s anger is entirely justified.

Divisive or not, the President’s first term has been packed with endless achievements that have benefited Americans on both sides of the political aisle – especially those in the lower and middle-income brackets.
