Bill O'Reilly: Personal Bitterness Was Motivation for Trump's Call to Ukraine

Political commentator and best-selling author Bill O'Reilly has a knack for good timing. His latest book, "The United States of Trump: How the President Really Sees America," went on sale the exact same week that the President is under fire from Democrats over alleged misconduct in dealings with Ukraine.
"Yeah, the irony, of course, is that nobody knew this was going to happen," O'Reilly said in an exclusive interview with the Hammer and Nigel Show, "but there is a part in the book that explains why Donald Trump made that call to the Ukrainian President."
O'Reilly noted that the book is a history book that is neither pro-Trump nor anti-Trump. Rather, it explains how the President pulled off what O'Reilly called "the most audacious political feat in American history."
O'Reilly says Donald Trump believes in his heart that former President Obama, Vice President Biden, and Hillary Clinton "all tried to injure him" before and after the election, adding that personal bitterness is what ultimately drove the now-infamous call to the Ukrainian president.
"[Trump] wants to expose those three individuals, and he knows that Biden was doing shady things in Ukraine," explained O'Reilly. "So that's how it all went down," he added.
The former host of the #1 rated "O'Reilly Factor" revealed to Hammer and Nigel that he actually cautioned President Trump that while his anger was justified, "if you take it personally, your reaction is going to hurt you."
He continued: "So for example, there's nothing wrong with a sitting president calling another foreign head of state and say, 'Listen, we think there is some shady stuff going on vis-à-vis American citizens in your country. Would you check it out?' Nothing wrong with that. But when you get a guy that you might run against for president involved, then the appearance that you're trying to dig up dirt can unsettle some people."
Offering perspective on Democrats' assumed intention to file articles of impeachment against the President, O'Reilly boldly stated that the mainstream media is driving the bus, while Nancy Pelosi and her political colleagues are "hitching a ride on the backs of the press."
As a result, O'Reilly asserted, the American people will never get the real story.
"[President Trump] didn't do anything against the Constitution," O'Reilly explained. "So you can draw up any impeachment thing you want, but most Americans see this as an attempt by Democrats to remove the President from office on very flimsy grounds."
"The United States of Trump: How the President Really Sees America," is available now through Amazon and other retail outlets.
