Boone County Deputy Jacob Pickett was laid to rest today. Deputy Pickett was shot in the line of duty last week. Thousands of people gathered today to honor Deputy Pickett and pay their last respects. Captain Ben Pyatt of the Brownsburg Police Department joins Hammer and Nigel to discuss the relationship between law enforcement and the community.

“There are times where sentiment towards police officers seemed to be different and rough, but I think this really speaks to most people out there. Most people out there do support us, most communities are 100% behind us and you witness that. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten ready to pay for my meal and people come up to pay my meal. That’s really what most people feel about law enforcement.”
