The esteemed governor of Illinois, Democrat and billionaire J.B. Pritzker is under federal investigation for questionable residential property tax appeals, which first came to light in October of 2018.

According to a report in The Blaze, the Cook County Inspector General’s report from last year said that $330,000 in tax breaks and refunds that then-candidate Pritzker received on a 126-year-old Chicago mansions resulted from a “scheme to defraud.”

Oh, and here’s the best part: one way that Pritzker and company have been accused of committing fraud is by removing toilets!

Side note: Did you know that Four of Illinois’ governors have gone to prison in the last half-century? Here’s hoping for five, eh?

By the way, Pritzker’s wife and brother-in-law are also under investigation, which is perversely heartwarming in a way. So very few are able to successfully merge family and fraud these days. #Respect #AllTheFeels

More on Pritzker’s wife and toilets:

The now-first lady Pritzker allegedly wanted the toilets removed on the Governor’s mansion property with no directive to reinstall them in an effort to have the property reassessed as “uninhabitable” for the purpose of receiving tax benefits.

God bless the good people of Illinois. Looks like they’ve elected themselves another winner!
