Anybody wanna go halves on a $32.4 million dollar mansion that was owned by actor Michael Douglas? Anyone? It's got a pool!
Well, if you'd like to think it over, why not take a look-see at an exclusive video of the property narrated by the one and only Michael Douglas! Yes, the guy who fought a major battle against throat cancer and owns a $32.4 million dollar mansion is doing his own V.O. work now!
In the video, which shows footage and photographs the star's seven-building compound called “S’Estaca,” he outlines the history of the estate, which was built in the mid-19th century by Archduke Ludvig Salvator.
“He had fallen in love with Mallorca, so different in every way to the formality of the royal court Vienna,” Douglas says of the Austrian aristocrat, who created the 200-acre property.
According to Douglas, Salvator used to invite Empress Cici of Austria to stay at the grounds on his private yacht, and even built a baiting house for her, carving steps into the rocks. I don't know, I guess that kind of background info turns you on if you're the type to have $32.4 million in spare change to buy a massive estate.
Douglas says other stuff in the video too! But let's be honest, 99% of the people who will watch this thing are just gazing at the photos and ignoring the dude who looks increasingly like his father (pre-stroke).
Douglas purchased the home for a reported $3.5 million with his first wife, Diandra Luker in 1990. Not a bad return on his investment, although he did spend a crap ton of dough on renovations - including all-new Stainmaster carpet!

Vacation home... I'll bet his regular place ain't no pre-fab shack on wheels either. If you're keeping track, by the way, Douglas gets all this cool stuff PLUS sex with Catherine Zeta Jones... Lucky ba***d.
