Our good friends at Hasbro have barely shaken off the leftist outrage from "Monopoly: Socialism," but they're tempting SJW fate once again with an all-new version of their famous (and increasingly controversial) board game, "Monopoly."
Behold the "all chick" version of Monopoly: Ms. Monopoly.
“Ms. Monopoly" aims to celebrate women trailblazers and “while Mr. Monopoly is a real-estate mogul, Ms. Monopoly (who is apparently Mr. Monopoly’s niece) is an advocate whose mission is to invest in female entrepreneurs,” according to Hasbro’s release statement.
MEET MS. MONOPOLY! Mr. Monopoly's niece, a self-made investment guru, is here to celebrate women trailblazers and update a few things. It’s about time! pic.twitter.com/ETSBK7TtWj— Hasbro (@Hasbro) September 10, 2019
Along with rolling out this new game, Hasbro says they recognized young female inventors and entrepreneurs with gifts of approximately $20,580 in real money “to fuel their inventive spirit and further their projects.”
$20K... What a generous capital investment indeed.
Jen Boswinkel, Hasbro’s senior director for global brand strategy and marketing, says the company hopes to “recognize and celebrate the many contributions women have made to our society and continue to make on a daily basis.”
Oh, Hasbro... So naive and trusting are thee. The blowback from the feminist community is going to be massive and vicious.
Impending Response from Feminist Community:
"Shame on Hasbro for insulting women with their demeaning and insensitive 'Ms. Monopoly.' What chauvinist in your organization suggested to 'celebrate women' by making a female-specific edition of an existing game that's gender-neutral by design? Clearly Hasbro feels women are unable to compete and win in a traditional game of Monopoly, and therefore, require a version of Monopoly that shifts the odds in women's favor. It's insulting, disgusting, and yet, typical in a corporate environment that celebrates the male patriarchy. #BoycottHasbro."
Good luck, Hasbro. Hell hath no fury like a feminist who's pissed.
