Idaho Deputy Nate Silvester has been fired from his job for posting a TikTok video that mocked basketball star LeBron James after the Los Angeles Laker doxxed a white police officer for the shooting death of Ma’Khia Bryant, a 16-year-old black suspect in Ohio.

The Bellevue Marshal’s Office, a local police department, put Silvester on leave earlier this month after his video went viral.

Bellevue Mayor Ned Burns cited Silvester’s ‘failure to follow clearly laid out well-established policies’ as the reason for the deputy’s firing.

Silvester, however, told Fox News’ Sean Hannity that he was a victim of ‘cancel culture.’

“I am the latest target of cancel culture, that’s all it is. None of my other videos that depicted me in my uniform or involving body camera footage, none of those mattered. They didn’t care about those. It wasn’t until my LeBron James TikTok struck a political nerve that they started to pay attention and complain about it and came up with forms of discipline.

“I am still trying to wrap my head around it,’ Silvester continued. “I was just fired this morning.”

In a follow-up video posted prior to his termination, Silvester said he would not apologize.

“I’ve been asked a few different times … if I think I should apologize,” Silvester said. “My answer? Unequivocally, hell no.”
