WIBC’s Jason Hammer unleashed a pointed and scathing tirade Monday afternoon in response to the failure of Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb and Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett to leadership and strength as their our city was looted and destroyed.
Hammer:
“At this point, Hoosier citizens and business owners are going to have to rely on themselves to protect life and property… because you’re not going to get any help from your leadership.
“I’ve had to learn this the hard way, but to Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett and wishy-washy Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb, put your big boy pants on and act like a damn governor; get control! You are in charge of the state of Indiana – do something! You can’t just hunker down!
“Boy, you’re Mr. Billy Badass when somebody wants to open up a barbershop. When somebody protests in front of the Governor’s mansion [about the COVID-19 quarantine] you want to call it a ‘petri dish.’ But you didn’t do a damn thing this weekend; so it’s Republicans and Democrats.
“So the lesson here – and I hate that it’s the lesson – don’t rely on anybody else; take care of you. And I don’t want to hear any more discussion about [Second Amendment issues] and why somebody needs an AR-15. Because your mayor tells police to stand down and it’s you against an angry mob.”
