Vice President Mike Pence is reportedly furious with President Trump in the wake of Wednesday’s events at the U.S. Capitol.

At a rally that took place earlier in the day, Trump repeatedly called upon Pence to block Congress from certifying the Electoral College results for President-elect Joe Biden after the Vice President said he did not have the legal authority to do so.

“Mike Pence, I hope you get to stand up for the good of our Constitution and for the good of our country, and if you’re not, I’m going to be very disappointed in you,” Trump said at a rally outside the White House earlier Wednesday.

Sen. James Inhofe of Oklahoma, a senior Republican official, told reporters that Pence was enraged by the President’s behavior.

“I’ve known Mike Pence forever,” Inhofe said, according to the Washington Times. “I’ve never seen Pence as angry as he was today. I had a long conversation with him. He said, ‘After all the things I’ve done for (the President).’”

Pence’s refusal to yield to the President’s demands reportedly led to the Vice President’s chief of staff, Marc Short, having his access to the White House revoked.

Short told RealClearPolitics on Wednesday that Trump was “blaming me for advice to VP.”

Dr. Laura Wilson from the University Of Indianapolis joined the Hammer & Nigel Show Thursday to share her thoughts on the growing divide between the President and the Vice President following Wednesday’s events at the Capitol.
