WIBC Radiothon DOnate Now TO The Salvation Army

It’s “Telephone Tuesday” in America: that blessed time of year when businesses supposedly receive their highest number of phone calls.

The honorable holiday occurs every year on the Tuesday following Labor Day weekend.

The reason for the high volume of calls on this date, according to National Today:

Unmanned telephones during the long weekend + kids schools returning to schools = folks attempting to tackle their to-do lists on this day.

Inbound calls to businesses rise an average of 50%, apparently.

Of course, not all calls are of a business nature. Sometimes a company, school, or an extremely unintelligent politician will receive a call from a prankster.

Such was the case when a podcaster and comedian had “Greta Thunberg” call Rep. Maxine Waters’ office with a complaint about then-President Donald Trump. Click below to hear the call!
