A Mexican lawmaker has apologized after she was caught getting topless during a government Zoom conference.
Senator Martha Lucia Micher says she was unaware that her camera was still on when she started to get changed during the live meeting last week.
Micher later apologized to everyone watching, saying she realized that she “accidentally” broke the expected standards of conduct. She blamed her lack of understanding of new technology for the free peep show.
Unfortunately, someone leaked screenshots of Micher’s mishap, which later did the rounds on social media and ultimately prompted a follow-up statement from the lawmaker, which was posted on Twitter.
“Yesterday an unfortunate incident occurred during a virtual meeting with fellow senators about the current economic situation in Mexico and strategies to confront the ‘new normal’ over the coming months,” Micher said in an open letter she shared online.
“I am a woman of 66 years of age who has breastfed four children, three of whom are today professional and responsible men, and I feel proud of my body for having nourished them,” she continued.
“I am a woman who is not ashamed of her body, which I love and care for.”
