The man behind the fictitious ‘Anthony_Shots’ online profile that was used to lure underage girls in 2016 and 2017 for the purposes of child exploitation has been identified as 27-year-old Kegan Anthony Kline of Kokomo, Indiana.

On Monday night, the Indiana State Police issued a release asking for individuals who may have had contact with the “anthony_shots” profile to contact investigators.

Local media outlets speculated that the account could be connected to the 2017 Delphi murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German.

On Tuesday morning, Demie Johnson of WIBC newsgathering partner News 8 received a probable cause affidavit filed in 2020 that links Kegan Anthony Kline to the “anthony_shots” social media account.

According to News 8, Kline was charged with 30 felonies in August of 2020, including child exploitation, possession of child pornography, obstruction of justice, and synthetic identity deception. The documents, which are heavily redacted, do not make any mention of the Delphi case, however.

From News 8:

According to court documents, ISP first encountered Kline in 2017. ISP and the FBI were conducting a search warrant on Feb. 25, 2017, at a Peru address that is redacted in the affidavit when it was discovered that an adult male going by “anthony_shots” online was soliciting underage females on social media. A subpoena sent to Comcast for an IP address led investigators to a residence in Peru. That same day, ISP, the FBI and the Peru Police Department executed a search warrant in Peru at an address that is also redacted in court documents.

Several electronic devices were seized during the warrant.

“There were CSAM (child sex abuse material) filed that depicted female children approximately 12 to 17 years of age, posing nude and/or partially nude; and/or performing a sex act on themselves. There were files located which depicted children between the approximate ages of 3 and 11 engaged in a sex act with an adult,” located on an iPhone 4 that was seized, according to court documents.

Abigail Williams and Liberty German were discovered dead on a trail in Delphi approximately two weeks before Kline was interviewed by investigators.

News 8 contacted investigators with the Delphi case to inquire about a potential connection between the Kline case and the Delphi murders.

ISP released the following statement:

We do not confirm or deny anyone who is or is not a suspect in any ongoing investigation. At this time, we are looking for any information about the “anthony_shots” profile and anyone who may have had contact with that profile.

WIBC’s Rob Connett joined the Hammer and Nigel show Tuesday to discuss the latest developments in the two investigations.
