President-elect Joe Biden’s teleprompter went down during a televised press conference Thursday, but the 78-year-old wordsmith recovered with great eloquence… In no way whatsoever.
Biden’s comments followed a meeting with members of the National Governors Association – a group of Democratic and Republican governors – in his latest attempt to fight through President Donald Trump’s refusal to concede the 2020 election.
Things started out fine, with Biden telling viewers that he understood that the state and local officials’ situation is dire in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.
“Heading into the holidays, you’re facing another surge in infections, hospitalizations, and death,” Biden said, “and it’s putting huge pressure on your hospitals and doctors, your nurses, health care workers, and it’s taking a massive, massive human toll on your economy. I want you to know that I will be your partner in the White House,” he continued.

Biden continued his comments, relaying his account of what was discussed with members of the National Governors Association regarding the deployment of government resources to ensure the COVID-19 vaccine is distributed efficiently and quickly.
Things were going along swimmingly until Biden arrived at the third point of the discussions that were held.
Biden: “Thirdly, we discussed the need to help states with Title 32 funding for the National Guard. That’s a fancy way of saying, ‘Governors… Governors need to be able to get fun…ding… When the dispe- When dis… they need uh… Uh… Uh… And… And b-b-b-ring bring their National Guard into play.’ And National Guards are gonna have to play this. It costs a lot of money.”
