WATCH: Nancy Pelosi Calls to Ban Gendered Language, Immediately Does Opposite
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is officially “woke” on the gendered language front.
The California Democrat just oversaw the creation of new House rules that would “honor all gender identities by changing pronouns and familial relationships in the House rules to be gender-neutral.”
The House’s Code of Official Conduct would replace familial terms like “father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister” with “parent, child, sibling.”
Other gendered terms, such as “seamen” and “Chairman” would be replaced with “seafarer” and “Chair,” respectively.
Pelosi said the proposed rules package “makes this House of Representatives the most inclusive in history.”
