MSNBC’s Tiffany Cross asked on Monday why the congressional committee investigating the January 6 invasion of the Capitol needed to be bipartisan, adding that Republicans were akin to “Branch Davidians” who the committee should be “prosecuting.”

“Why exactly does this committee have to be so bipartisan, you know?” said Cross in a segment of The ReidOut. “It’s like if you were prosecuting Dave Koresh, you’re not ever thinking ‘We should get the Branch Davidians, too, to get their perspective.’”

That’s right. Tiffany Cross just drew a comparison between sitting U.S. Rep. Jim Banks, a man who joined the U.S. military and fought in Afghanistan on his country’s behalf, to child molester David Koresh.

This isn’t the first time that Tiffany Cross has drawn criticism for her toxic rhetoric against Republicans. In September of 2020, Cross compared the RNC to ‘a modern-day minstrel show.’
