White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki refused to say Monday whether migrants who are walking across the southern border must show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test when entering the country.

“So if somebody walks into the country, right across the river, does somebody ask to see their vaccination card?” Fox News correspondent Doocy asked.

“Well, let me explain to you again, Peter, how our process works,” a rude Psaki replied.

The press secretary then stated that when migrants come across the border, they are screened for symptoms of COVID-19 and quarantined if they are symptomatic.

Translation: “No.”

“They are not intending to stay here for a lengthy period of time,” Psaki continued. “It’s not the same thing. These are individuals, as we’ve noted … we are expelling individuals based on Title 42 specifically because of COVID. Because we want to prevent a scenario where large numbers of people are gathering, posing a threat to the community and also to the migrants themselves.”

Doocy then asked why the Biden administration is requiring vaccination for around 100 million American workers but not migrants.

Psaki replied that the more people who are vaccinated, the more it “protects more people in the United States.”

Translation: “I can’t answer that question, so I’ll just regurgitate a talking point instead.”
