Palestinian-American Al Jazeera journalist, Shireen Abu Akleh, was fatally shot Wednesday while covering an Israeli military operation in the West Bank.

Officials confirmed Akleh was shot in the head by a live bullet. Her producer, Ali Al-Samudi, was also shot and remains in stable condition.

The Qatar-owned Arabic media group, Al Jazeera, has accused Israeli security for targeting their journalist. Al-Samudi has stated there were no Palestinian gunman in the area and also blamed the Israeli army.

The Israel Defense Forces confirmed security was operating in the area, but so was Palestinian terrorist suspects, both were firing weapons at the time. This has led IDF to believe it was a Palestine terrorist responsible.

A video was released showing people running in a nearby refugee camp at the time of the shooting stating they had shot an Israeli solider. Israeli Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett, says no IDF soldier was injured “which increases the possibility that Palestinian terrorist were the ones who shot the journalist.”

Tony Katz says with the current video as evidence, it’s clear the Al Jazerra is just trying to push their own agenda of anti-Israel bias.

“Here you have video of Palestinians terrorists shooting indiscriminately in the area. You have Al Jazerra and others making the claim that the Israelis killed the reporter. The Palestine terrorist claim they killed an Israeli soldier, but there was no Israeli soldier shot.

So one can take from this, its Palestine terrorists that shot and killed the reporter… You see how it’s moved and manipulated to try and push it as anti-Israel this, anti-Israel that…this is the radicalness of their ideology as they lie and try to hurt Israel every step of the way.”

This is an ongoing investigation.
