Everyone’s favorite millennial, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, is here to give us another lesson as she shows off her economics degree.
The Biden administration continues to push for doubling the minimum wage to $15/hour. In an interview with MSNBC, AOC said that not increasing the minimum wage would be ludicrous.
“Any person who thinks that a $15 minimum wage is a ‘crazy socialist agenda’ is living in a dystopian capitalist nightmare.”
She goes on to say that $15 is actually a generous compromise.
“When you take the minimum wage from several decades ago and you actually account for inflation and productivity gains of today- it should be $24 an hour.”
Tony Katz argues that the democrats are falling on their own hypocrisy.
“Dystopian capitalist nightmare doesn’t go together, there is no such thing. To believe that idea is to believe that somehow it is the job of people to ensure that everybody has the same levels of success and THAT is what creates the dystopian nightmare.”
