The tearing down of statues honoring historic figures continue to be a mission for the ‘woke.’ In most recent, Cornell University has removed a bust of Abraham Lincoln after a complaint.

A bust of Lincoln along with a plague of the Gettysburg Address were installed at Cornell’s Kroch Library in 2013 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address. The exhibit has been on display since –that is until the last month. According to a professor at Cornell, the exhibit was removed after a complaint was made.

Tony Katz wants the progressive left to know that you can in fact discuss history without erasing it.

“The Gettysburg Address is a pretty important piece of history. The Gettysburg Address is worthy of noting. And there are people out there that think that the discussion of what a nation could be is problematic…The idea that somehow the human mind has so evolved as to not have these connections to history is laughable.”

Cornell has yet to make a statement on why the exhibit was taken down. Currently, the area remains empty.
