Dr. Anthony Fauci undermined his credibility yet again by praising New York for its handling of the Coronavirus pandemic, saying the state responded “correctly” to bring its outbreak under control.

“We know that, when you do it properly, you bring down those cases. We have done it. We have done it in New York,” Fauci said in an interview with “PBS NewsHour” that aired Friday evening.

“New York got hit worse than any place in the world. And they did it correctly by doing the things that you’re talking about,” he continued.
Let’s examine the good doctor’s claim, shall we?
Fact: More than 400,000 New Yorkers have been infected by the virus since the pandemic began and at least 32,463 people have died in the state.
Fact: Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s administration has yet to make public the names of dozens of nursing homes whose experiences could shed light on whether the administration’s asinine policy of sending hospital patients sick with COVID-19 into those facilities contributed to the state’s staggering loss of life.
Fact: Under Gov. Cuomo’s policy, more than 6,000 COVID-19 patients were sent from hospitals to nursing homes across the state. To date, at least 6,500 nursing home residents have died of the virus, more than 6% of the state’s entire nursing home population.
Fact: In early March, Gov. Cuomo downplayed the threat from COVID-19 by comparing it to the flu, saying that “the facts defeat fear,” and encouraging New York City residents to go about their daily lives as normal.

Fact: Last week, Gov. Cuomo unveiled a self-aggrandizing poster that praised his state’s handling of the Coronavirus pandemic and mocked President Trump for comparing the deadly disease to the flu.
Fact: In a recent press conference, Cuomo doubled down by arguing that President Trump’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic was worse than the infamous Watergate scandal, adding that if you  “look at the facts, the facts clearly demonstrate Trump was wrong from Day One, and New Yorkers have been right from Day One.”
Fact: Dr. Anthony Fauci is living in a political bubble that is contaminated by the Coronavirus, but 100% safe from reality.
