The Washington Post, the New York Times, CNN, MSNBC and the Twitter blue-checks were all in lock step in calling President Trump’s speech on July 4th at the base of Mt. Rushmore, “hateful,” “racist,” “divisive,” “dark,” and “angry.” But nothing could be further from the truth, which is exactly where those mainstream media outlets like to be.

The Washington Post said the speech, “…exploited social divisions” and was a “dark speech.” ABC said the speech, “…pushes racial divisions.” MSNBC quoted an Oglala Lakota tribe member who said that Mount Rushmore was a, “symbol of White Supremacy.” CNN followed along in this line of attack:

Of course, CNN’s short-term memory is, indeed, short. It was CNN in 2008 that referred to Mt. Rushmore as “majestic” and “quite a sight” when former President Obama visited.

America has watched statues being torn down, while media tells us rioters are not tearing down statues willy-nilly. America has watched as media viciously demeaned Americans who wanted to get back to work to support their families, claiming they were selfish, hateful and going to get people killed from Covid-19 just so they could make money; even claiming that open-up protesters were mocking the dead! But when protesters and rioters gather by the thousands, the media doesn’t stay silent; they push the notion that rioting and protesting without masks is valuable and important…and won’t lead to increased spread of coronavirus.

Americans who heard the speech know that the Washington Post and CNN lied to them. They’ve known that the New York Times lied with the 1619 project. They know that MSNBC pushes the anti-Trump agenda – claiming he’s a racist, for example – while hiring Al Sharpton (whose insults of Jews are the stuff of legend, just ask MSNBC host Joe Scarborough when he was a member of Congress!) and Joy Reid (whose anti-gay posts would get any radio host in America fired and deem them un-hireable ever again.)

Those who heard the speech heard about love of country, about, “equal opportunity, equal justice and equal treatment for citizens of every race, background, religion and creed.” They heard President Trump say that the family, “…is the bedrock of American life.”

You can like or dislike the speech, but it wasn’t divisive nor dark nor angry: That’s the American mainstream media. The media that demands your respect, and your fealty, had no choice but to hate the speech. They hated the speech because they hate Trump. And they hate you, me and we for not listening to them.

And America has taken notice.
