Remember how Democratic Rep. Elissa Slotkin was against the impeachment inquiry? Well, just kidding.
Slotkin recently changed her stance on pursuing impeachment proceedings against the President and even helped to pen an op-ed in the Washington Post with six other Democrats who are jonesing for a Trump ousting.
Our story continues...
Rep. Wishy-Washy was challenged to explain her change of heart at a town hall event in Michigan last week, and CNN reports that things didn't go all that swimmingly well.
"The issue that got to me was this idea that the President, the most powerful man in the world, reached out to a foreigner, a foreign leader, and asked him to dig up dirt on an American," Michigan Rep. Elissa Slotkin said Thursday in her explanation.
Before Slotkin could fully recite her carefully-prepared justification, the crowd called out "Not true!" and "Fake news!"
Slotkin attempted to press on, but attendees were having none of it as they became more agitated and started yelling over each other.
CNN desperately noted that "the critical voices did not appear to represent the feelings of everyone in the room."
Translation: "Take comfort, liberal readers. Angry Democrats who still haven't moved past the 2016 election and desperately want an impeachment inquiry still represent the majority. We got this thing."
WIBC host Tony Katz commented on Slotkin's raucous town hall event during Monday's edition of the Popcorn Moment. Click the link below to get his take on what went down.
