Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appears to be transitioning from elected official to arbiter of morality and modern-day Swamiji! Not only is she predicting the future doom of our planet with most vomitous frequency of late (We’re like all dead in 12 years and stuff), she’s also preaching to late-night television audiences – no doubt the most ardent adherents to spiritual teachings – about what morality in practice looks like in the 21st century.

Let us pray. No seriously; we need to pray.

During a recent appearance on the Stephen Colbert show – a program that used to feature a host with talent – Ocasio-Cortez recited from the scriptures of AOC, primarily focussing on the text that outlines what percentage of thy riches shall be rendered unto Caesar at a marginal tax rate of 70{e7d922e47e34c22374416105a5e46a14ff533ce17ed8ca0dee5410286f8ee502}: “10 millionth and one dollar” and beyond.

Holy hell.

“So after you make $10 million in one year, your dollars after that start to get progressively taxed at a much higher rate. And really, what that is … at what level are we just living in excess?” the self-styled economics genius asked Colbert.
