Once again, Freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is advocating for open borders and "respect for the right of human mobility."

During a town hall event in New York on Saturday, Ocasio-Cortez told attendees that America’s immigration system is “completely unjust” and blamed President Trump for “creating” populations of illegal immigrants.

“He is creating undocumented populations in the United States, and then they’re being targeted, and their rights are being targeted,” Ocasio-Cortez said of the President.

“First of all I believe in human rights,” she continued. “I don’t care if you’re documented or you’re undocumented.”

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez's speech echoed her comments from February of this year, when she told a group of reporters on Capital Hill that Latinos have a race-based right to migrate to the United States.

“We have to have … respect for the right of human mobility,” she said. “It is a right. We are standing on native land, and Latino people are descendants of native people. We cannot be told and criminalized simply for our identity or our status.”

In an interview with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow in January of this year, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez said immigrants attempting to enter the U.S. illegally are "more American than any person who seeks to keep them out ever will be."
