Indianapolis Star Trek fans are in for a treat. “Star Trek: Exploring New Worlds” is coming to the Children’s Museum on February 2, 2019.

The exhibit features more than 100 rare artifacts from the popular television series, spinoffs, and Star Trek films, and explores their impact on culture, society, arts, sports, technology, and fashion.

Trekkies will have the opportunity to see set pieces from the original series like the navigation console, sit in a replica of Captain Kirk’s command chair, and see original series costumes for Kirk, Spock, Uhura, and McCoy and the 6-foot U.S.S. Enterprise filming model from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Monica Humphrey from the Indianapolis Children's Museum dropped by the WIBC studios Thursday morning to discuss the upcoming exhibit Tony Katz.
