MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Gets Duped by Fake Text Messages Between Rudy Giuliani And College Student

Text messages purporting to show Rudy Giuliani being duped by a college student pretending to be Ivanka Trump are fake, but that didn’t keep MSNBC journalist Rachel Maddow and other prominent media figures from amplifying them on social media.

CNN’s Daniel Dale reported the messages as ‘fake’ on Twitter on Wednesday.

According to Dale, he confirmed that the story is fake via an exchange with College Democrat Nick Roberts, who said the alleged texts are “just satire.”

The embarrassing incident followed claims that Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani was allegedly duped by actor Sacha Baron Cohen for the latest “Borat” film.

The Giuliani scene purports to show the former New York City mayor in an embarrassing bedroom encounter with a 22-year-old actress pretending to be a journalist.

WIBC host Tony Katz questioned how the censorship team at Twitter failed to catch the fake Giuliani tweets less than a week after the tech giant’s controversial censorship of a New York Post story related to the Hunter Biden email scandal.
