North Carolina County Bans Coca-Cola Because of The Company’s GA Voting Law Criticism
A county in North Carolina has banned coke from it’s government buildings and not for health conscious-reasons.
Surry County voted to ban all Coca-Cola vending machines in their office buildings. The county commissioner, Eddie Harris, says they are no longer welcoming coke products in their government buildings because of the soft drink company’s stance against Georgia’s new voting laws.
Other corporations have also expressed their criticism of Georgia’s new voting laws including JPMorgan Chase, American Express, Citigroup, Google, Porsche North America, UPS, Microsoft, and Delta Airlines.
Tony Katz says Coke should get some backlash.
Why shouldn’t Coca-Cola take a hit? Why shouldn’t they feel it? Don’t lie. Don’t be gross. Don’t tell people they’re guilty of ‘whiteness’
In the meantime, Katz is looking for some Indiana-based soft drink companies to support! Hit us up on twitter @tonykatz
