House Speaker Nancy Pelosi attempted to deflect a question during her weekly press conference Thursday morning about why Democrats had not included "bribery" as one of the articles of impeachment against President Trump by stating: "I myself am not a lawyer."
Speaker Pelosi's response comes one month after she asserted that President Trump’s Ukraine actions DID in fact amount to bribery - a position that followed House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff's declaration that bribery could be included in the impeachment articles brought against Trump.
The Washington Post noted at the time that Democrats were shifting the focus of their impeachment investigation in order to make it "an easier sell" for Americans.
Incidentally, Speaker Pelosi also commented at her press conference Thursday that she practices medicine "without benefit of diploma," which begs the following question: "What kind of sicko plays doctor with Nancy Pelosi?"
