It’s the feud that you didn’t know you needed. You didn’t even think it was possible, but here we are. Barstool Sports vs Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. You didn’t misread that. You’re not dreaming. This is happening.
“Is she not aware that she’s getting played? She’s so ready to not miss a moment and be so woke that she jumps right in. Now he wants to debate on the necessity of unions. It’s a rare moment where Twitter dreams come true.”
It all started when the Dave Portnoy, the President of Barstool Sports, the satirical and sometimes controversial sports outlet, tweeted that anyone under his employment who attempted to unionize would be fired “no the spot.”
Not one to miss a moment, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez pounced on the tweet. She quoted it, criticized Portnoy and encouraged Barstool employees to go right after their boss and form a union.
Portnoy returned the tweet in kind, by welcoming Ocasio-Cortez to the Thunderdome and challenged her to a debate.
Tony Katz can hardly believe this is reality. He weighs in on both Dave Portnoy and Rep. Ocasio-Cortez.
