Sen. Elizabeth Warren is starting to prove that she isn’t as ‘pro-choice’ as she thinks. Taking to Twitter, Warren goes after crisis pregnancy centers for providing women options (also known as choices) other than abortion. She states that these centers falsely advertise to women in need.

“With Roe gone, it’s more important than ever to crack down on so-called ‘crisis pregnancy centers’ that mislead and deceive patients seeking abortion care.”

A second tweet adds, “We need to crack down on the deceptive practices these centers use to prevent people from getting abortion care, and I’ve got a bill to do just that.”

Warren’s proposed bill would direct Federal Trade Commission to “promulgate rules to prohibit a person from advertising with the use of misleading statements related to the provision of abortion services.” This would result in charities, such as pregnancy centers, being fined upwards of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Most pregnancy centers offer women pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, prenatal care, counseling, assistance in exploring adoption processes, and more all at no cost to the patient. Pregnancy resource centers are three to one when compared to abortion facilities across the country.
