It was announced Wednesday that the Indianapolis 500 will host fans this coming May. The IMS says the in-person experience will be limited to a capacity of 40% or 135,000 fans.

Fans can apply for tickets on the IMS website. If more tickets become available, they will alert the fans on this wait-list.

Concerts and special events like Carb Day have been cancelled. Masks and social distancing will be required during the event.

Even though the Indianapolis 500 won’t be quite back to normal yet, drivers say it’ll be nice to see some fans back in the stands.

For how this season will look, who better to talk to about the Greatest Spectacle in Racing than with President of the IMS, Doug Boles?
