Trump Taunts CNN: 'Congratulations' on Lowest Ratings of the Year

Katz: CNN Doesn't Learn Their Lessons

President Trump took time out on Monday to mock and eviscerate CNN, after The Daily Caller reported that the left-leaning one-time "news" network just posted its lowest ratings of the year.

"Congratulations!," Trump tweeted along with a link to The Daily Caller article.

Here's the way it breaks down:

CNN averaged an audience of 690,000 people the week of April 8-12, with only 180,000 viewers between the ages of 25-54, a vital demographic for the network. That same week, MSNBC averaged 1,600,000 viewers in prime time, with 249,000 aged 25-54. Fox News performed even better with 2,438,000 viewers and 394,000 in that age range.

In other words, CNN is WAY behind its competitors. Also, "Ha!"

Here's some more of President Trump's gloat fest:

And more:

And some more:

And a little bit more:

And perhaps a smidgen more:

And one for the road:

WIBC host Tony Katz took a more mature approach to evaluating the problems at the slowly sinking "S.S. CNN."

"CNN doesn't learn their lessons. You don't have to like President Trump, but you can't just make things up. You can't have all these people on your network talking about collusion and then not apologize when the facts show there was no collusion. As a matter of fact, CNN, Jake Tapper, Anderson Cooper, Chris Cuomo, they doubled down on not apologizing.

It doesn't mean you can't report on the stories. We reported on the Mueller investigation. There is plenty in the Mueller report to make people say, 'Man, I don't like Donald Trump.' But there was no collusion, and when do these networks acknowledge that they were wrong and apologize?

CNN is 15th behind Discovery Network, Food Network, TLC and A&E."
