Trump Taunts CNN: 'Congratulations' on Lowest Ratings of the Year

President Trump took time out on Monday to mock and eviscerate CNN, after The Daily Caller reported that the left-leaning one-time "news" network just posted its lowest ratings of the year.
"Congratulations!," Trump tweeted along with a link to The Daily Caller article.
Here's the way it breaks down:
CNN averaged an audience of 690,000 people the week of April 8-12, with only 180,000 viewers between the ages of 25-54, a vital demographic for the network. That same week, MSNBC averaged 1,600,000 viewers in prime time, with 249,000 aged 25-54. Fox News performed even better with 2,438,000 viewers and 394,000 in that age range.
In other words, CNN is WAY behind its competitors. Also, "Ha!"
Here's some more of President Trump's gloat fest:
Paul Krugman, of the Fake News New York Times, has lost all credibility, as has the Times itself, with his false and highly inaccurate writings on me. He is obsessed with hatred, just as others are obsessed with how stupid he is. He said Market would crash, Only Record Highs!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 23, 2019
I wonder if the New York Times will apologize to me a second time, as they did after the 2016 Election. But this one will have to be a far bigger & better apology. On this one they will have to get down on their knees & beg for forgiveness-they are truly the Enemy of the People!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 23, 2019
And some more:
The Radical Left Democrats, together with their leaders in the Fake News Media, have gone totally insane! I guess that means that the Republican agenda is working. Stay tuned for more!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 23, 2019
And a little bit more:
In the “old days” if you were President and you had a good economy, you were basically immune from criticism. Remember, “It’s the economy stupid.” Today I have, as President, perhaps the greatest economy in history...and to the Mainstream Media, it means NOTHING. But it will!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 23, 2019
And perhaps a smidgen more:
Sorry to say but @foxandfriends is by far the best of the morning political shows on television. It rightfully has BY FAR the highest ratings, not even close. Morning Psycho (Joe), who helped get me elected in 2016 by having me on (free) all the time, has nosedived, too Angry...— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 23, 2019
And one for the road:
....Dumb and Sick. A really bad show with low ratings - and will only get worse. CNN has been a proven and long term ratings and beyond disaster. In fact, it rewarded Chris Cuomo with a now unsuccessful prime time slot, despite his massive failure in the morning. Only on CNN!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 23, 2019
WIBC host Tony Katz took a more mature approach to evaluating the problems at the slowly sinking "S.S. CNN."
"CNN doesn't learn their lessons. You don't have to like President Trump, but you can't just make things up. You can't have all these people on your network talking about collusion and then not apologize when the facts show there was no collusion. As a matter of fact, CNN, Jake Tapper, Anderson Cooper, Chris Cuomo, they doubled down on not apologizing.
It doesn't mean you can't report on the stories. We reported on the Mueller investigation. There is plenty in the Mueller report to make people say, 'Man, I don't like Donald Trump.' But there was no collusion, and when do these networks acknowledge that they were wrong and apologize?
CNN is 15th behind Discovery Network, Food Network, TLC and A&E."
