Drivers rejoice! College Ave. bridge over Fall Creek has reopened!
This major thoroughfare for northeast side to downtown commuters closed in mid-September for resurfacing and sidewalk repairs. It was originally supposed to remain closed until November 14th, but crews were able to knock out the work early and open ahead of schedule.
According to Indy’s Department of Public Works (DPW), the stretch of College Ave from Fall Creek Pkwy N. Drive and E. 22nd St. is still undergoing pavement repairs. Drivers can expect occasional lane restrictions on this stretch of road until the weather fully cooperates and work is finished.
The complete makeover of Central Ave. bridge over Fall Creek continues until spring of 2019, and will stay closed until then.
