Maintenance Work to Continue on I-65 in Johnson County

Indiana Department of Transportation maintenance crews will resume milling and patching along Interstate 65 moving repair operations to the southbound left lane between mile marker 95.0 at Whiteland and mile marker 90.0 at Franklin.

Single-lane restrictions will be in effect for motorists traveling southbound on I-65 between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.   If time allows, INDOT crews may continue patching I-65’s southbound left lane to State Road 252 at the 80 mile marker.

Officials anticipate extended delays for I-65 southbound traffic and urge motorists to consider using U.S. Highway 31 or other routes to avoid the area.

These I-65 repairs are in response to pavement deterioration that requires immediate attention before a winter hiatus.  Low overnight temperatures disallow nighttime operations.
