BUTTERFLY KALEIDOSCOPE

Each year the Zoo transforms the indoor garden into a warm tropical paradise so you can experience butterflies in a way you’ve never seen them before.  See more than 40 species in the Hilbert Conservatory.

 

 

PINEWOOD DERBY – Open Track

10am|Indiana State Museum

All participants must be registered by noon!  You’re invited to race your derby car on the 2-story, 125-foot race track.  Race Day is Saturday.  Click HERE for entry rules.  Included with museum admission.

 

POP-UP TEA HOUSE

11am|Newfields

A celebration of tea, with an emphasis on the teas of Japan.  “Tea” is their first attempt at incorporating art and nature into one guest experience.  Thu-Sun during museum hours.  Included with admission.

 

 

EXODUS” by GREGORY HANCOCK DANCE THEATRE

7pm|The Tarkington – Carmel

This ancient story resonates even today.  A world dance premiere inspired by the book of Exodus, through the creative storytelling by Mr. Hancock.  This new ballet features incredible music, choreography and costumes.   Through Saturday. $39-$44.

 

 

CHONDA PIERCE – “STILL LAUGHING TOUR”

7pm|Old National Centre – Egyptian Room

Emmy nominated & best-selling comedian CHONDA PIERCE, or “the country comic” as Billboard Magazine dubbed her, has been making audiences laugh for more than 20 years.  You’ll love her southern charm!   Special Guest: Karyn Williams

 

 

“GILLIGAN’S ISLAND: THE MUSICAL”

8pm|Belfry Theatre in Noblesville

You know the story, now see it in musical form!  It’s fun, it’s wacky and entertaining with 18 original songs.  RESERVATIONS RECOMMENDED!  The show goes through April 7th.  $16-$20.

 

 

“THE GOLDEN GIRLS: THE LOST EPISODES”

10pm|District Theatre

An original parody of the beloved television show.  The ladies find themselves in situations never before seen on TV.  Apr. 6, 12-13, 19-20, and 26-27 at 8 and 10pm.  $15.

NATURALLY INSPIRED “PAINT OUT DAY”

8:30am|Indianapolis Zoo

Every spring, the Zoo invites a group of 15 juried Artists to make art outdoors.  Even the animals get involved!  Watch the Artists work until 3:30. 

 

INAUGURAL “xZOOberance” SPRING FESTIVAL – Final Weekend

9am|Indianapolis Zoo

Music, art, dance and nature!  A perfect place to celebrate spring with Outdoor Musical Instruments, animals, and crafts for the kids.  For adults?  The Cheer Garden is where you’ll find craft beer and wine.

 

 

9th ANNUAL INDIANA ARTISAN MARKETPLACE

10am|Indiana State Fairgrounds – Expo Hall

Only once a year, Indiana’s highest-quality Artisans come together under one roof.  Buy one of a kind artwork and foods directly from the artisans who make it.   Sun. 10-5.  $10 – Under 14 FREE.

If you love the strange and unusual…this is for you!  Preserved specimens, antiques, jewelry made from bones. Creepy and bizarre items.  Sideshow performances all throughout the day. $22.

 

 

NAPTOWN ROLLER DERBY BASICS WORKSHOP

12:30pm|Naptown’s private practice facility 

A foundational workshop for new skaters who are interested in learning basic roller derby skills.  Fun, low pressure environment and no experience is required!  $10.
